Ecosoluciones Químicas, a company specializing in the production of cleaning chemicals, needed to expand its manufacturing capacity in a safe and efficient manner, while accommodating raw materials of varying chemical compositions, including corrosive substances and flammable products. In addition, the company needed to operate in an ATEX-compliant environment while meeting the highest safety standards.
Technical Solution Proposed by Sagafluid
Sagafluid designed, manufactured, and installed a 12,000-liter ATEX-certified reactor made of AISI-316L stainless steel, specifically adapted to handle chemicals with varying pH levels (ranging from acids such as phosphoric acid to bases such as caustic potash), and compatible with flammable raw materials such as isopropyl alcohol.
The system includes:
Industrial mixer with speed control to prevent foaming.
ATEX-certified load cells with a remote display.
L-shaped work platform with safe access for loading liquid and solid raw materials.
Control panel located outside the ATEX zone with an intuitive interface.
Connectivity via flexible hoses to maintain weighing accuracy.
Results Obtained
Optimization of the production process: The reactor enables the homogeneous and safe mixing of various raw materials.
Increased production capacity: A robust weighing and control system was implemented, with agitation tailored to the product's rheological properties.
Improved operational safety: fully ATEX-compliant design, with a clear separation between classified and unclassified areas, and emergency systems included.
